Growler Fills & Care
Do you provide growler fills?
Yes! any of our beers that are available as a 16oz draft is eligible to be filled in a growler. Our fill prices for a 64oz Growler is 3x the 16oz price.
For 32oz or 128oz fills, we adjust the pricing accordingly.
There may be some beers that are close to being on their way out which may not be eligible for a growler fill. We’ll let you know about these when you come into the taproom (basically, we want to avoid kicking our last keg while we’re halfway through filling your growler. That’s an awkward situation for everybody involved!).
Yes, we will fill your growler!
We will fill any growler from 32-128oz in size. We offer glass growlers in 64oz size if you need one. They are $8.00, and are a one-time purchase. Reusing your growler will not incur additional glass fees.
We do not buy back growlers.
Any growlers with another brewery’s branding on it will be covered up at the time of fill in accordance with California law. We use non-marring methods to cover the label.
Please clean your growler before bringing it in! Here’s how:
WE WILL NOT FILL ANY DIRTY GROWLERS.
I repeat, we will NOT fill any growlers that do not pass our visual and smell tests.
We recommend flushing out your growler IMMEDIATELY after consumption using hot water. We recommend against using dish soap as it may leave a residue which may be detrimental to beer.
Simply flush the growler out a few times with hot water, swirling the water around inside and then dumping, will do just fine. After rinsing, give the growler a quick sniff to make sure it doesn’t have any odd aromas.
We ALWAYS give you a new cap. If you have your own growler with its own cap, be sure to clean your cap thoroughly. If you’re using one of our growlers or a similar glass growler, we’ll give you a new cap at no charge on your next fill.
Be sure to let the growler air dry (preferably upside down) and DO NOT cap the growler while it is still wet inside! We preferably would like you to throw the cap away entirely, or if you’re going to store the growler for a long period of time, just place the cap on but don’t screw it down. You really don’t want to keep any moisture inside the growler if possible.
Once again, we WILL NOT fill a dirty growler.
